SOHO Atlanta restaurant will continue to spotlight the wines and flavors of Italy on flight night, Wednesday, June 22.

First, SOHO will pour a 2007 Feudo Disisa Nero D'Avola from Sicily. The Nero D'Avola is one of the most important red wine grapes in Sicily and one of Italy's most important indigeous varietals. The 2007 Feudo Disisa Nero D'Avola is full-bodied and offers flavors of sweet dark cherries, sage and flowers.
Next, SOHO will pour a 2008 Fonterutoli Chianti Classico from the Chianti Classico region. The family-owned Castello di Fonterutioli estate has been producing wine since 1435 and is considered by many to be the definitive wine producer in the Chianti Classico region. The 2008 Chianti Classico offers flavors of ripe red fruits and a pleasant acidity. The wine is well-balanced with a lengthy finish.
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2004 Cascina Chicco Barbera D'Alba Bric Loira from Piedmont, Italy. The wine has more structure and spice elements than a traditional Barbera D'Alba. The 2004 vintage is considered one of the best in the last decade. Enjoy!
SOHO's executive chef, Joe Ahn, has created three tapas plates to complement each Italian wine. The following pairings will be featured on SOHO's menu until Wednesday, June 29.

90% Sangiovese, 5% Malvasia Nera, 5% Merlot
Paired with: Grilled lamb kabobs with roasted potatoes and mint pesto
2004 Cascina Chicco Barbera D'Alba Bric Loira, Piedmont, Italy
100% Barbera
Paired with: Sauteed veal scallopini with mushrooms and marsala
